However, local legend state that Lake Shawnee is the amusement park for ghosts. The abandoned park has been featured on the Discovery Channel's "Ghost Lab" and the Travel Channel's "The Most Terrifying Places in America." The park now opens mid to late October for night tours and ghost stories.
