I got the idea of photographing a dead rose with an engagement ring from a friends wedding photos she was showing me. Her rings along with her new husbands were shown with a fresh rose- it was very simple. I thought I want to do the opposite. Death of a Love Story was created. I did use a filter to give the finished project the look of a painting.
